Dip or Sauce

A dip or dipping sauce is a common condiment for many types of food. Dips and Sauces are used to add flavor or texture to a food, such as pita bread, dumplings, crackers, cut-up raw vegetables, seafood, cubed pieces of meat and cheese, potato chips, tortilla chips, and falafel. Dips are commonly used for finger foods, appetizers, and other easily held foods. In cooking, a sauce is liquid, creaming or semi-solid food served on or used in preparing other foods. Sauces are not normally consumed by themselves; they add flavor, moisture, and visual appeal to another dish.
